Visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace
Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace is another of the city's most popular attractions. Dating back to the late 18th century, it is known for its detailed Indo-Islamic architecture and was once used as the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan.
Stroll through Cubbon Park
Located at the heart of the city, Cubbon Park is a lush haven filled with greenery, fountains and trees. Created by Major General Richard Sankey in 1870, the park covers some 300 acres and is home to a variety of attractions and landmarks including the Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall and Vidhana Soudha, an exquisitely designed legislative building and the country's largest civic building.

Built between 1874 and 1878, Bangalore Palace was created by the British guardians of Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar X in order to provide the young boy with suitable accommodation while he trained to become the next ruler. Food and drink in Bangalore
With a name that translates to "Town of Boiled Beans," it's not surprising that Bangalore is home to a fantastic dining scene. As a cosmopolitan state capital, you can find a wide range of international cuisines here - everything from pizza to sushi, with plenty of plant-based options for vegetarians. However, for those looking for a more local, authentic culinary experience while enjoying tours and travels in Bangalore, sampling the region's delicacies is a must.
Everywhere in Bangalore is alive with the aromas and colours of the local street food stalls. Among the wide variety of dishes and snacks on offer you'll find things like kebabs, masala dosas and gobi Manchurian - a deep fried mix of cauliflower, spring onion, soy sauce and tomato sauce. Another popular street food dish is floating pani puri. Small, deep-fried dough balls are filled with ingredients such as potato, chickpeas and chutney and then served on a layer of clear pani - flavoured water - to make them "float."
The state of Karnataka is home to a wide array of regional dishes. Its cuisine tends to be milder than that of other South Indian States, though certainly no less flavourful. Popular dishes in South Karnataka to try on your Bangalore holidays include bisi bele bath, a spicy rice dish made with lentils, vegetables and a variety of spices and ragi mudde, hearty balls made from millet flour. Masala dosa is also popular in the region and consists of a lentil-based pancake stuffed with potatoes, onions and mustard.
Traditional breakfast options include upma, a thick porridge made from semolina and topped with nuts and spices, and idli, which is a savoury cake made by steaming a batter of fermented lentils and rice. To satisfy sugar cravings, be sure to try one of the state's many sweets, such as kajjaya, deep fried rice and jaggery fritters, and Mysore pak, a fudge-like sweet made from ghee, flour and sugar.
